I’m having a blast getting my website ready. Getting the structure in order, putting the content in, all that. The only problem I’m having is writing the structural text. As it is my website and it is, really, about me, I have to try and promote myself . . . my work. I’m finding it ridiculously difficult to write about my writing. Even harder is writing about the other creative things I do. The arts and crafts I’ve decided also need to be up on the site. Actually, I’m finding it hard even to write about the things I write about – the short stories that I’ve put on the site. I’d like to get the text just right, but trying to find the right tone is very hard. A little bit of marketing, a little bit of self-promotion. I can do this in spades for any company I freelance for, but for me, not so much.
