I've had this piece in mind for a number of months. I got to work on it after I left my full-time job in January, but I did it on a 8"x11" scale. Way too small. This canvas is 16'x24', a much more appealing size. The canvas is painted with acrylic and the circles are made from paper.

The ebook version of my novel, Moving Pictures, is now available on Kobo.com. This means you can also purchase it through your local indie bookstore's website. Just go to that site and search for Moving Pictures and you should get the option to buy the ebook, click on that and you'll be routed to Kobo.com, but a part of the proceeds will go to your indie store.
For more info about the book, visit www.movingpicturesbook.net My first try at a full size Wellington. I made this hat really quickly as I decided to go to a masquerade only a week before it happened. Costumes were done on the fly. I made this hat fairly plain in order to decorate it (below). I added the decorations in a way that I can easily remove, so that we can use the hat again for another costume. Or just because. My boyfriend wore this one and I wore the tiny red/black Wellington I made last February.
