I visited the Norton Simon Museum last weekend to see an exhibit ending next month called, Lessons of the Cherry Blossom: Japanese Woodblock Prints. It was small and delightful. However, just opened was the exhibit, Significant Objects: The Spell of Still Life, which was absolutely wonderful. It combined many of the favorites at the Norton with pieces from other museums. It is a must see. Still life paintings and other works may not seem all that exciting, but it was really quite spectacular. There was one picture of a bowl of tangerines that was so striking, I was drooling. The exhibit goes through January, so you should definitely try to see it.
After much to-doing, Moving Pictures is finally available through Google Books, Google Play, and your local independent bookstore (as long as they sell ebooks through their website).
After spending many years working as a bookseller, it is very exciting for me to see my book available for sale through the very bookstores for which I worked. I've put links up for these stores on the Moving Pictures website. Click here to go to that page.
Thanks for visiting. If you are looking for information about Moving Pictures or The Iris Project, click on the links above. Here you’ll find short stories and other works by me, including arts and crafts and hats. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy.
