![]() I visited the Norton Simon Museum last weekend to see an exhibit ending next month called, Lessons of the Cherry Blossom: Japanese Woodblock Prints. It was small and delightful. However, just opened was the exhibit, Significant Objects: The Spell of Still Life, which was absolutely wonderful. It combined many of the favorites at the Norton with pieces from other museums. It is a must see. Still life paintings and other works may not seem all that exciting, but it was really quite spectacular. There was one picture of a bowl of tangerines that was so striking, I was drooling. The exhibit goes through January, so you should definitely try to see it.

![]() After much to-doing, Moving Pictures is finally available through Google Books, Google Play, and your local independent bookstore (as long as they sell ebooks through their website). After spending many years working as a bookseller, it is very exciting for me to see my book available for sale through the very bookstores for which I worked. I've put links up for these stores on the Moving Pictures website. Click here to go to that page. |
