National Novel Writing Month is fast approaching. I'm considering participating again, but without the ambition to write 50,000 words this month.
I just want to use it as an opportunity to push myself. Maybe finish one of the novels I have in the works. I've been going through my unfinished projects (too many!) and found that a novel I shelved a few years back has 43,000 words to it already. It's more than half way done!
I got stuck on it because I really like the characters. Because of this, I think, I lost touch with how to move the characters forward in a meaningful and interesting way.
I've read through what I have and I really like it. Now I'll attempt to finish it so I can begin polishing it and, hopefully, make it as lovable as I think it could be.
